What is the HCDT engagement process like?

The HCDT Professional assessment comprises two virtual meetings and an advisory session:  

  • First meeting (virtual) involves a one-hour dialogue with the CEO and a 2.5hour review of HR processes with the Head of HR Department, both held on the same day This provides the assessor with the context and content necessary for the HC diagnostics, which he/she will analyse for the share back session. 

  • 2nd meeting (virtual) – Share back Session, last about an hour of which the HCDT Assessor shares the report findings with the CEO and Head of HR Department 

  • Complimentary advisory session (strongly recommended) is provided following the share back session, lasting approximately 45 minutes.  The Assessor will offer guidance on one HR process area of choice out of the 11 areas. 

  •  

The assessment includes an optional survey component, recommended for firms with more than 50 employees) to incorporate employee perceptions into the diagnostics.  It consists of 2 parts: 

  • Practices survey – for all employees including HODs / management and HR, featuring 13 questions about their experience with HR processes 

  • Competencies survey – for HODs / management and HR Team onlycomprising of 16 questions about their perception of HR capabilities within the organisation) 

 

For HCDT Navigator 

It is a self-administered questionnaire, that will typically take around an hour to complete.
